Each 250mg Meladapahit capsule contains:
Java Brucea - 90%
Nigella Sativa - 10% (Al-Habbatu As-Sauda)

Java Brucea Fruit is the dried ripe fruit of Brucea javanica

Action: To remove toxic heat, to stop malarial attacks, to relieve dysentery, and to cauterize vegetations.
1.Destroying parasites to relieve dysentery

This drug can be used to treat dysentery with blood stool due to noxious heat, dysentery with pus and blood, tenesmus, etc. This drug is the main drug for treatinf dysentery with bloody stool due to noxious heat and recurrent dysentery. The drug, when used alone, can be put into longan aril and taken. Fifteen pieces of the drug are prescribed as one dose, 3 times a day for 10-14m days. The drug is also used to treat acute and chronic ameboc dysentery.

2. Destroing parasites to treat malaria

The drug can be used to treat malaria tertina, malaria quartana and malignant malaria, The kernal of the drug is put into longan aril for oral administration, 10-15 pieces of the drug as a dose to be taken 3 times a day for 5-7 days.

3. Corroding verruca

The drug can be used to treat clavus and verruca vulgaris. The drug can be pounded and applied to the diseased area or the oil extracted from the drug can be applied to diseased area, twice a day, both methods will cause the falling off of the verruca.

BUMI Malaysia kaya dengan beraneka jenis tumbuhan dan herba yang bernilai tinggi pada manusia. Kebanyakan daripada tumbuh-tumbuhan liar itu mempunyai banyak kegunaan untuk menjaga kesihatan.
Ada yang dimakan sebagai ulam-ulaman dan tidak kurang yang dijadikan ubat-ubatan bagi mengubati pelbagai jenis penyakit.Antaranya termasuklah sejenis tumbuhan liar dikenali sebagai mempahit atau disebut juga blo.
Dengan ketinggian antara tiga hingga empat meter, pokok mempahit berbatang lurus seperti pohon tongkat ali dan bercabang dibahagian hujung, di mana terdapat ranting-ranting yang mengeluarkan daun yang tersusun seperti daun kari ataupun daun mambu.
Ranting-ranting itu juga mengeluarkan buah yang kecil saiznya seperti biji lada tetapi mempunyai rasa yang amat pahit, lantaran itu dikenali juga sebagai lada pahit. Buah berkenaan berwarna hijau semasa muda tetapi bertukar menjadi hitam setelah masak.
Mempahit mudah tumbuh setelah buahnya yang masak diterbangkan oleh burung ke sana ke mari di kawasan semak. Tumbuhan itu bagaimanapun boleh disemai dengan menggunakan biji daripada buahnya yang masak.
Kaedah paling berkesan ialah dengan menabur biji mempahit ke atas tanah dan disiram dua kali sehari sehingga bertunas dan mengeluarkan tiga atau empat helai daun sebelum dipindahkan ke dalam polibeg dan ditempatkan dikawasan teduh.
Biarkan anak pokok mempahit itu tumbuh lebih besar sedikit sebelum ditanam di kawasan yang tidak terlalu teduh dan tidak terlalu terdedah. Mempahit ialah sejenis tumbuhan yang tahan lasak, lantaran itu memadai disiram sekali sehari.
Seperti kebanyakan pokok hutan yang lain, mempahit bernilai tinggi dari segi perubatan dan merupakan penawar untuk mengubati pelbagai jenis penyakit, antaranya ialah tekanan darah tinggi, diabetes, sakit jantung, demam dan disenteri.
Caranya ialah memamah buahnya, tidak kira sama ada yang masih muda ataupun yang sudah masak, sehingga hancur sebelum menelannya. Satu lagi kegunaan mempahit ialah dengan menggunakan buahnya sebagai ramuan untuk membuat makjun bagi mengubati penyakit serta memulihkan kesihatan.

REPORT OF PHYTOCHEMICAL TEST.
INSTITUT PENYELIDIKAN,

Objective of phytochemical test ;
To detect the presence of some important phytochemical constituents that usually exhibit biological activities surch as alkaloids, sppnins, flavonoids, tannins, triterpenes and steroids.

# THE FOLLOWING TEST WERE CARRIEDS OUT ON 5.0g OF POWDER MATERIAL:

1. TEST FOR ALKALOIDS.
The plant was macerated in chloroform by followed by addition of ammoniacal chloroform. The extract was then treated with 10% sulphuric acid and tested with Mayer's reagent. Formation of white precipitates the presence of alkaloids.

2. TEST FOR SAPONINS.
The methanol extract was mixed with distilled water in a test tube. The formation of stable froth for at least 15 minutes indicates the presence of saponins.

3. TEST FOR FLAVONOIDS
The chlorom extract was dissolved in ether and shaken in 10% ammonia solution. Formation of yellow colour in ammonia layer indicates the presence of flavonoids.

4. TEST FOR TANNINS AND POLYPHENOLIC COMPOUNDS
The methanolic extract of plant material was mixed with 1% ferric chloride solution. Formation of blue black colour indicates the presence of hydrolysable tannins, while brownish-green indicates that of condensed tannins.

5. TEST FOR TRITERPENES/STEROIDS
The chloroform extract of plant material was tested using Liebermann-Buchard reagent. Formation of reddish colour indicates the presence of triterpenes and greenish colour for steroids.
